The Bridging Programs at Northern Border University aims to provide diploma holders from community colleges, applied colleges, and The Technical and Vocational Training Corporation with the opportunity to pursue their studies to a Bachelor's degree, Provided that the required conditions and terms are met.

  • Graduates of Community Colleges and Applied Colleges.
  • Graduates of Technical and Vocational Training Corporation.
  • Graduates of Health Institutes. 

General admission requirements for Bridging programs at Northern Border University

  1. The applicant must be a Saudi national, or the child of a Saudi Mother, or the wife of a Saudi citizen with children from him.
  2. The applicant must hold a Diploma or an associate degree.
  3. The applicant's specialization must be aligned with the field of study to which they are applying. 
  4. The applicant's GPA must be "Pass" or higher. 
  5. The applicant must not be enrolled in Northern Border University or any other university.
  6. The applicant must not have previously obtained a Bachelor's degree.
  7. The applicant's high school certificate must correspond to the specialization.
  8. The applicant must not have been previously dismissed from Northern Border University or any other University, or the Technical and Vocational Training Corporation.
  9. The applicant must be committed to full-time study throughout the Bridging program.
  10. The applicant holds full responsibility for the accuracy of the provided information. any discrepancy in the information provided will result in the cancellation of the admission process.

Admission criteria for evening bridging programs

Admission of students is based on the GPA and the number of available seats for competition in each programs.

Study and Examination Regulations for Bridging Programs at Northern Border University

  1. Students must attend classes regularly in accordance with the approved academic calendar of Northern Border University.
  2. All Bridging Programs are in the evening.
  3. Students are subject to Study and Examination Regulations and the executive rules approved by Northern Border University (1445 AH - 2024, Second Edition).
  4. Internal transfers between colleges is not permitted.
  5. The duration of the program is determined by the respective academic department.
  6. Students must complete more than 40% of the specialized courses after admission to the bridging program.
  7. Programmatic accreditation requirements and standards must be observed to ensure that graduates acquire the intended skills and information of the program they are bridging to. 
  8. The total number of credit hours and years of study required for awarding the Bachelor's degree must not be less than the minimum stated in the Saudi Unified Classification of Specialization and Educational levels - National Qualifications Framework 2023 (Second Edition).
  9. Course equivalency is conducted in accordance  with the Study and Examination Regulations and the executive rules approved by Northern Border University (1445 AH - 2024, Second Edition).
